Texas Senate – Ted Cruz
Just like nearly every candidate HonestConservative.com ranks, both Ted Cruz and David Dewhurst fancy themselves a “Conservative.” But, the truth is that only one can really be called a conservative in this race.
Ted Cruz is an experienced and principled conservative candidate that has served Texans well and will make a great Senator. Cruz has a solid record standing tough against illegal immigration and has long been a proponent of building a border fence. By contrast the establishment candidate David Dewhurst has ridden both sides of the issue over the years he’s been in office. Dewhurst has also repeatedly supported some form of amnesty for illegal immigrants.
While Dewhurst’s campaign has been focused on smearing Cruz based on meaningless personal attacks, Ted Cruz is running on his successful conservative record as Solicitor General. As the Solicitor General of Texas, Ted has taken on the United Nations, defended our 2nd Amendment rights and protected our Christian values. His record of success and deeply rooted conservative beliefs have earned him the endorsement of such true conservatives as Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, Rand Paul and Freedom Works.
It is with great pride we endorse Ted Cruz for the U.S. Senate in Texas.
