Indiana Senate – Richard Mourdock
Richard Mourdock may be a long shot candidate running against entrenched incumbent Dick Lugar, but he’s worth betting on. While most recently serving as the Indiana State Treasurer, Mourdock fought to balance the budget and improve the state’s fiscal situation. Mourdock understands that after all the “compromising” and “bi-partisanship” if you’re spending more than you’re taking in, you’ll have serious problems no matter how many bills and resolutions you pass.
If Mourdock is able to make it to the Senate, there’s no doubt he won’t be cow-towing to Obama or Harry Reid and he certainly won’t earn the label “Obama’s favorite Republican” a badge worn by Dick Lugar. Lugar is a flip-flopper on abortion, with a NARAL of 40% and he clearly doesn’t care about 2nd Amendment rights, receiving an F rating from the NRA and GOA.
Without a doubt when Dick Lugar first went to the Senate he served Hoosiers well, however 30 years later he is nothing but a Washington puppet.
