Utah Senate - Dan Liljenquist
Dan Liljenquist is running against 30 plus year incumbent Orrin Hatch with the backing of Tea Party and other conservative organizations in Utah. Much like many long time Senators, Hatch went to Washington to do the bidding of the people of Utah and became trapped in the power structure, often more concerned with his own advancement than towing a solidly conservative line.
Hatch (like Dick Lugar) has a long record of playing both sides of the aisle on 2nd Amendment rights and has displayed a pattern of siding with unions and liberal special interest groups to make sure he is not in their sights during the general election. Hatch currently holds a 53% rating from the NAACP and 45% rating for SEIU, the same group organizing and funding the violent ‘Occupy movement’.
By contrast Liljenquist is a problem solver with real experience in the private sector. After serving as CEO at several successful companies, Liljenquist went on to the Utah State Senate in 2008 where he took on the unions that Hatch was lackeying for. Liljenquist held the line on government spending earning him the Tax Payer Advocate Award in both 2010 and 2011.
We enthusiastically endorse Dan Liljenquist for United States Senator from Utah. He faces an uphill battle against Hatch in the primary. Please give at least $100 to Dan so he can be competitive on TV against Hatch in the coming weeks.
